Soft-Drink-Sized Baby Goes Home

Little Olivia Grace Reimers went home from the hospital on 6/18/2002. Her parents are glad to be able to stop the trecks they’ve been making for the last four months from home in Winchester to Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Olivia only weighed 12 ounces when she was born, the size of a regular soft-drink can. She is probably a local record, since no records were found of a baby under 15 ounces surviving.

Olivia has had a recovery unusually free of complications and weighs over five pounds now, with a good prospect of normal life. Kudos to the staff that provided such excellent care. Olivia’s parents are grateful. And someday Olivia may write them a thank-you note herself!
