Life Academy Scholarship

 Rochester Area Right to Life is awarding a scholarship to assist a local student to attend the National Right to Life Committee’s Life Academy in Washington, D.C. The award includes tuition, room, meals and materials for one college student, which would normally cost $2500. This intensive six-week summer program will be held from June 30, 2008 to August 9, 2008 in Washington, D.C. at the National Right to Life headquarters. Students will be provided instruction on ethics, abortion, involuntary euthanasia, and assisted suicide. 

This scholarship is not based on financial need but rather on your commitment to the cause of unborn children and other vulnerable individuals who cannot speak for themselves. 

The student awarded a scholarship to represent Rochester Area Right to Life is expected to maintain communication with RARTL throughout the following school year and promote pro-life activities on campus where possible.  If you live in the Rochester area or attend college in the area, you are eligible to apply. 

To be considered for a scholarship to assist you with this experience, please send us a 1-2 page essay on your pro-life beliefs, experience in the movement and how you envision this cause impacting your future. 

If you are chosen for the scholarship, you will need to pay a deposit of $500 to National Right to Life to secure your interest in the program.  RARTL will then pay the remainder of the $2500 cost directly to NRLC.  Upon successful completion of the program, RARTL will refund your $500 to you.
